Pre-tour Festival Party

Imagine yourself out for a casual stroll down Robineau Road when along the way you encounter the distinguished potter Adelaide Alsop Robineau. Somehow
you have just taken a trip back in time to the 1920's.

The Onondaga Historical Association (OHA) invites you to join them at the annual Strathmore Pre-Tour and Festival Party on a "Ghost Walk" to meet neighbors from yesterday. Titled "Here's to You Mrs. Robineau", the ghost walk will introduce several Robineau Road personalities and contemporaries of Ms. Robineau's. Included in this group will be Amoret Dey of the well-known Dey Brothers Department Store family and Florence Penfield owner of Penfield and Wilcox Manufacturing and Bedding, a local company perhaps best known for placing a house on top of their building on Syracuse's north side.

Following this adventure, return to the Roaring 20's at the Robineau Speakeasy, complete with Flappers, Molls and Gangsters. The party will take place on Friday, June 18th beginning at 7 pm, after the first Ghost Walk tour returns. The location is 236 Robineau Road (View on Map). Reservations are limited to 150 people; the party always sells out rapidly so hurry to get your ticket. Along with delectable food and drink provided by Karen's Catering, the ticket price of $35 also includes the Ghost Walk.

To purchase your tickets call Karen Cooney at the OHA offices 428-1864 X 312.
