ONONDAGA PARK ASSOCIATION

Newsletters:

The Onondaga Park Association (OPA) was formed in August 1980 to advocate for the interests of Onondaga Park. The ongoing goal remains the preservation of the park’s historic landscape and architecture, as well as the promotion of safety and improvement to the physical resources. The organization also provides opportunities to foster community strength and social interaction for the residents of the surrounding Strathmore neighborhood.

  • Successfully nominated Onondaga Park to the State Register of Historic Places in November, 2002 and the National Register of Historic Places in January, 2003.
  • In 1999, created an initiative that ultimately raised $1.1 million for park restoration.
